NFL Week 6 and a cute cat picture

It's a cat sitting in a pair of pants! How cute is that? Sushi is starting to look more like an adult mini-cat now. It's too bad we didn't get to enjoy more of the kitten stage, but she's a really wonderful cat all the same.
In other news, it rained yesterday. This would not be news in most places, but it is in the desert. It's not uncommon to go months without anything more than the briefest shower, so when it finally does decide to rain out here there's no messing around. It rained on and off all day yesterday, thank god we don't live in a flood area. We woke up around 8am to the sounds of hail on the roof and a downpour so loud it sounded like the world was going to end. Now we're back to blue skies and 66 degrees.
Okay, on to football.
Andrea has taken the lead in our contest, going 4 and 1 last week which brings her total to 11 wins and 4 losses. Her only loss came with the Dallas Cowboys who, thanks to the clutch quarterbacking skills of Drew Bledsoe, managed to blow a last minute drive and lost to the Eagles 38 - 24.
I ended up going 3 and 2 last week, bringing my total to 10 wins and 5 losses. The New Orleans Saints beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24 - 21 but could not cover the 6.5 point spread and the Pittsburgh Steelers just plain sucked against the San Diego Chargers, losing 23 - 13. Between Dallas and Pittsburgh, we lost all of our parlay card bets. Thanks guys! Fortunately, I did have the sense to bet on our mutual pick, the Chicago Bears, and that saved our week. We are 3 and 0 on the mutual picks. Coincidence? This week will put that to the test.
Peter's picks for NFL Week 6 (home team in CAPS)
ST LOUIS RAMS (+3.5) over Seattle Seahawks
ATLANTA FALCONS (-2.5) over New York Giants
Cincinnati Bengals (-6) over TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
San Diego Chargers (-10) over SAN FRANCISCO 49ers
NEW YORK JETS (-2.5) over Miami Dolphins
Andrea's picks for NFL Week 6 (home team in CAPS)
ST LOUIS RAMS (+3.5) over Seattle Seahawks
ATLANTA FALCONS (-2.5) over New York Giants
Buffalo Bills (-1.5) over DETROIT LIONS
Houston Texans (+12.5) over DALLAS COWBOYS
Oakland Raiders (+15) over DENVER BRONCOS
Notice anything? Apart from Andrea's suicidal choice of taking two awful, winless teams on the road? We both picked the Rams AND the Falcons. Let me assure you these picks were completely independent of each other, I had most of mine worked out Monday night. This is either going to completely prove our mutual pick system or totally destroy it.
